A Honeymoon in Tenerife
When we were planning our wedding, we had no idea how expensive it would become. If only things were like the olden days, where parents would foot the bill for the whole shin dig. Neither of our parents were rich, and we knew that save for a bit of a handout, we would have to pay for everything ourselves. We didn’t mind this at all, but when the price started to stack up, we knew that something would have to give. We had been planning on spending a couple of weeks in a five star resort in the Caribbean for our honeymoon, but the cost of that was nearly £3000! It seemed like the most logical thing to save money on, so I started to try to find a cheaper alternative.
We decided that if we headed somewhere in Europe, it would be far cheaper. I came across a website which had a load of information about Tenerife weather and it seemed like an island with a great climate. We both wanted to go somewhere hot, and in the summer months, Tenerife was almost as hot as anywhere! We had both been there before, and it had been a great holiday. I found a lovely hotel in a nice quiet area of the island, and I realised that if we booked this holiday we would stand to save over £2000! I quickly checked Tenerife Times online and found that there was still plenty going on in that area of the island if you were prepared to travel a bit so I booked out honeymoon in Tenerife there and then, knowing that it was a great place to spend my first two weeks married to the girl of my dreams.
