Lanzarote is four hours flying time from mainland Europe and is located close to the West Coast of Africa in the Atlantic Ocean.  The island has become a very popular holiday destination over the last twenty years – thanks to the fact that like the rest of the Canaries it enjoys sunshine whatever the time of year.  Making it both popular as a winter and summer sun destination.

All flights arrive at the sole international airport of Arrecife – from where tourists transfer on to their resort or accommodation.  First time visitors should note that there are no shuttle bus services though.  So they have to either queue for a taxi or book a rental vehicle.  There are plenty of Lanzarote car hire offices in the arrivals terminal as well as in all of the main resorts.

Whilst half of all visitors book self catering accommodation the other half prefer to stay in hotels in Lanzarote. There are over 200 to choose from and plenty of upmarket options too – with six 5 star establishments available.

The majority of the hotels on the island are located in the resort of Playa Blanca – at the southern tip of Lanzarote.  Which is around a forty minute transfer from the airport.  Playa Blanca is a great location for a holiday as there are some wonderful beaches here as all as plenty of good quality restaurants.

Therefore, there are several things that you need to prepare. Because it will be an outdoor vacation, you need a car for travel around Hawaii. There’re many car rental that you can find for the car that you need. But, if you want to get more adventure, you can choose to explore Hawaii on foot.  For the activity in Hawaii, you can find many beautiful beaches where you can surf, water ski, diving and other.
